THE AUDIENCE

So who is this film for, you may ask?

THE IDAHO PROJECT is a film for all the people who have ever lost a horse, no matter how they are lost, victims who may have a horse missing now, who have been told they can’t find their lost horses, people who have given up on believing there is good in the world, and want to believe again in the kindness of strangers, and those or have been told to give up on whatever challenge they wish to overcome.

It is also a film for people who love horses or want to love them, who believe there is goodness in the world, in doing what's right regardless of the outcome, and who believes that what lies behind us, and what lies ahead of us, are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.

A Victim Speaks

Why we do what we do … This (edited) email was sent to Stolen Horse International/NetPosse.com by Lisa, owner of Missing mare, Halo. The mare was missing for four months and claimed dead by the caretaker. Within four days of listing with NetPosse, Halo was known to have been at auction and bought by a Killer Buyer, headed to slaughter. Less than 18 hours after Lisa sent this email, on the brink of giving up, Halo was found ALIVE and well!

Thank you so much for all you have done - I know Halo would appreciate it and I hope that she is still alive. I am sorry that I am wearing you down but this important to me. If you think I should give up I will and I won't bother you guys anymore. All I think about it is how scared she must be if she were in a crowd of horses being ready to be slaughtered - I know her escape for life would be a dire one. I don't even know you guys that well but I love you for all the effort you have put behind finding my girl. In my heart I know it's too late - and I will remember her always. - Sincerely, Lisa
